Specially produced by Matchbox in 1982 to mark 50 years trading by the wholesaler Lawrence Fraser.

This model was originally considered to be a Code 3 item. That is until some documentary evidence was produced by Stamper Metcalf. Prior to this reaching the public domain, these models sold for around £15. After the provenance was provided, they went up (almost overnight) to £140+!

Livery: (Label) - 'LAWRENCE FRASER TOYS GAMES SPORTS GOODS' and company logo 'LF' in turquoise blue and 'EST. 50 YEARS' in white on royal blue background on both van sides, all within black line surround.

Description: The model has no opening parts other than the rear doors. The vehicle roof is matt black, the seats are black plastic, and the tool box lid is brass coloured. There is no glazing.
It comes packed in the original straw coloured box but with an extra label stating that 'THIS MODEL IS PRODUCED WITH THE FULL KNOWLEDGE AND CO-OPERATION OF MATCHBOX TOYS LTD'.
This is an official Code 2 release.

Other Comments/Identifying Features: The model is considered RARE, with exact numbers produced being unclear but estimated as low as 125 made. It has the correct label on the sides and 12 spoke chrome hubs. The baseplate is held in place by three machined rivets.
